Search, save and share articles

Reading and search work without an account. Saved articles are private; comments become public after review. Follow the steps below for each action.
Ask Holi
When the Holi bubble is available on a blog article, BAC paper page or olympiad page, open it to ask for an example, find a tutor or type a question. Holi shows the title and a short preview of the page. The tutor list loads only when you choose “Find a tutor” or a Holi reply displays tutor recommendations. Opening the chat alone does not load the list. If loading fails, choose “Try again” or open the directory. Displaying or opening the bubble does not send an AI question. When you open another article or paper page, the context updates and a new conversation starts. After an explanation, choose “A concrete example” or “Make it simpler” to continue. Each click sends one AI question using the current conversation. Opening the chat and pressing its buttons add only anonymous usage counters, without the message content; opening alone sends no AI question, and “Find a tutor” loads only the directory. The chat uses the title, subject and an article excerpt; it cannot read the PDF. Paste an exercise to discuss it. Tutor offers come from the directory and do not guarantee current availability or experience with a particular exam.
Holi can make mistakes. Messages, recent replies and page context are sent to the AI service for an answer. The conversation is not linked to your account and leaves the chat when you change page, switch account or reload; an anonymous copy, with emails and mobile numbers masked, is kept for 30 days to improve Holi's answers. Do not enter passwords or sensitive data. Password reset and booking continue on their dedicated pages. If AI is unavailable or a limit is reached, the directory and Help Center remain available. The X in the chat, suggestion or beside the bubble minimizes Holi. Press the small bubble to reopen the conversation; messages remain while you stay on the same page. The available-users bubble opens a separate panel; only one panel can be open at a time.
Listen to lesson sentences
In lessons with marked pronunciation, press Listen beside a sentence. Choose Normal or Slower and stop playback whenever needed. Changing speed stops the current sentence; press Listen again. The text remains available without sound and no account or microphone is required. Voices depend on your browser and installed device languages. If a voice is missing, check available voices and try again. Regional variants are labeled; an online voice may send the sentence to the browser or device speech service. Playback never starts automatically.
Learning paths, practice and recap
From Blog, open Learning paths. Choose a subject and follow the chapters in order. An article can belong to several paths. Where available, check a practice answer, take an orientation quiz or print a recap sheet. The quiz suggests a starting point; it does not certify a level. Answers are not saved to your account. The AI assistant is only available in a separate pilot and can make mistakes; verify sources and do not submit personal data.
My languages: progress, history and streaks
Open Learn a foreign language from the footer or portal. The dashboard brings English and Spanish together; other languages are coming soon. Choose a language at the top. Continue lesson or Continue test returns to its saved checkpoint. The English journey has A1 and A2 sections, chapters and short lessons. Your test recommends a section; you can return to A1 foundations. Earlier lessons in a section unlock the next step. See the full outline opens the chapter list. Each node has four stages: Discover, Build, Use and Challenge. Open a node and choose an available stage. After all four it turns gold and unlocks the next lesson. You receive 20 XP per new stage, even across interface languages; repeats add no points. Previously completed lessons keep their progress. XP does not change your estimated level. Turn animations off at the bottom of the page. If lessons are temporarily unavailable, tests and saved progress remain accessible; choose Retry for the catalogue. English includes answer choices, word ordering, four image choices and written answers. In picture choices, the question names the word in your interface language and, when that language is not English, the English word is shown under every picture. In A1 Discover and Build, tap an image, a vocabulary choice beside a picture or a word tile to hear its pronunciation. Individual pictures also have a Listen button: it names the pictured object, including when you will write your answer. Selection does not check your answer; tap again to replay. New playback stops the previous clip. Listening tasks and Use/Challenge stages retain their own instructions without spoken answer hints on selection. The first nine A1 chapters each contain three lessons with four distinct sets of eight exercises per lesson (864 in total). The first covers greetings and introductions; the second covers age, quantities, prices in pounds/pence and shopping conversations; the third covers food, drinks, preferences and simple cafe orders; the fourth covers household objects, positions and describing a room; the fifth covers family members, who is who and describing your family; the sixth covers daily routine, clock times, days of the week and what you do in the morning, during the day and at the weekend; the seventh covers places in town, where they are and simple directions; the eighth covers clothes, colours, prices and buying something in a clothes shop; the ninth covers the weather, the seasons and simple plans for the weather. Stages gradually reduce support. Listening exercises have normal and slow playback plus a text alternative. Press Listen for the British female voice or the snail button for slower playback. Phrases use synthetic voice audio files prepared in advance; if audio cannot load, read the transcript. This is practice, not an assessed listening level. Press Check, then Continue. Learning settings in the dashboard independently control explanations for correct and incorrect answers; both default off. Mistakes always show the correct answer. Incorrect answers return at the end of the lesson; first attempts remain in the result. Save and pause keeps your position; lessons save on pause and completion, not after each answer. Closing abruptly may lose unsaved answers. Reviews and challenges are chapter steps, without automatic scheduling. Spanish uses published chapters with practice questions. A lesson is complete when you answer all its questions; reading alone does not count.
One completed lesson stage or assessment qualifies as a learning day. You have an overall streak and a streak per language. Days end at midnight, Europe/Bucharest. Multiple activities in the same day do not add multiple streak days. Missing a day restarts the streak while keeping saved results.
Progress and tests shows a chart, paginated history and every answer with its topic and explanation. Practice again saves a practice attempt without changing the level estimate. New assessment updates the indicative estimate. Records are private to the account, including child accounts; parents do not automatically receive access. Retry failed saves before closing the page.
Answer by speaking
For free-response exercises, choose Answer by speaking when your browser supports it. The microphone starts only at your request. Your browser may send audio to its recognition service; Hola25 does not save audio recordings. Review and edit the recognised text, then press Check. Only the submitted text answer is saved, just like typing. We assess the answer, not pronunciation. Stop the microphone or type instead; if permission is denied or recognition fails, use the keyboard.
Find your English or Spanish starting level
From Learning paths, choose Try the pilot test for English or Spanish. Questions stay in the language being tested; instructions are available in Romanian or English. Start the adaptive test or choose Start from scratch. Questions begin easy and cover vocabulary, grammar and reading. Select an answer and Continue, or choose I don't know yet. There are at most 24 questions and no timer. Turn off animations in the header. Without an account, answers stay in the current session. When signed in, we save every three answers and at completion. Use Save checkpoint before pausing, then resume from My languages. Closing abruptly can lose answers after the last confirmed checkpoint.
The result suggests a starting point. The questions and thresholds have not been validated against CEFR; the result does not certify a level and does not assess listening, speaking or writing. Mixed evidence does not produce a firm placement. For English, continue to the starter journey; for Spanish, check the levels of available chapters. The test does not use AI.
